Phoenix Biltmore Wedding Photos
My first wedding of the season just happen to be an old friend’s wedding. Not just any old friend, but a fellow wedding photographer, Stephen Shefrin. Stephen and I shot for a studio in Portland together many years ago. I actually 2nd shot for him the first time I met him. We hit it off right away. So you can imagine how complimented I was that he asked me to be his wedding photographer. Not only did I have the pressure of shooting a friend’s wedding, but a photographer friend is about as nerve-wracking as it gets! Luckily once the day started, I was able shut off that part of my brain and just think about the images.
Her wedding day, was the first time I’d met Caitlin, but she made me feel like an old friend instantly. She also told me straight off the bat what a fan of my work she was and that she totally trusted me. Which made me feel that much more comfortable with her. She lit up in front of the camera, she took my direction so well, and her beauty just made the images come alive. Truly a stunning woman. She embodies a Marilyn Monroe look that just really works so well for her. Absolutely gorgeous.
Caitlin and Stephen have such a joyful love for each other that resonated through the entire day. Stephen’s parents are incredibly close to Caitlin which added to the feeling that this wedding was not just a celebration of their love, but a time to truly welcome her to the family… in a damn classy way. The Frank Lloyd Wright inspired Biltmore served as the perfect backdrop for my old and new friend’s first day as man and wife. Congrats guys!
