Cielo at Castle Pines Wedding

Kelly, Eli and I met because of a Portland friend who sent them my way when I first arrived to Denver. After I started to get to know them a bit through working together, I became more and more excited to be a part of their wedding. Their venue was beautiful, Ceilo at Castle Pines,  but we ventured out a bit for their portraits to a nearby field with some pine trees. Luckily Kelly and Eli are up for anything, and totally trusted me, so we got some gorgeous photos in a natural setting.

Their dog Coco was a part of everything. Eli trained her to run down the isle to get a stuffed bone with the rings on it. It was awesome. During the reception there was a  dance off between Eli’s nephew and Kelly’s cousin, one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever seen at a wedding. Breakdancing at a wedding always takes the cake.

Congrats Kelly and Eli. I really loved being a part of your special day!

What a weekend!!! Started off with a swim and barbecue. Great fun meeting Kelly’s friends and family. I even got in the pool and it didn’t overflow. In the water, with the grandkids, could only be topped by the wedding to come were my thoughts. Next came the rehearsal and dinner. As I sat at the table, a smile never left my face as I witnessed the warmth and love that was being shared by all around the room. Two families, with their friends, came together in one accord to celebrate the pending marriage of two wonderful people.

Wedding day: Perfect weather and a fantastic setting in the pines. Fran and I got there a bit early and enjoyed visiting with arrivals and chatted with the help getting the main room ready for the reception. Then it was time to put on my tie and button my jacket.

The ceremony was short and to the point but well thought out. I decided to grab my video camera beforehand and capture the occasion myself. If not, I would have been a blubbering fool. I kept it together pretty good as I traveled back in time from Eli’s birth to now, his wedding day. He has made good choices most of his life but the person he chose to spend the rest of his life with could not have been better.

Our visits with Kelly’s family have been very enjoyable every occasion we shared time with them. And we have come to love and cherish Kelly and look forward to sharing in the making of their life’s story.

Sincerely,
Dad, Ken or Hey dude!
